Terms of Service

Effective 29 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Thabani Takwena (“we”, “us”), who runs RoLedger. By using roledger.app or the RoLedger app, you agree to them. If you use RoLedger for a business or studio, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

1. What RoLedger does, and what it doesn't

RoLedger works out what to pay the people on a Roblox group's team. You upload the group's sales file from Roblox and set each person's share; RoLedger calculates each payout, gives you a payout file to upload on the group's Payouts page in Roblox, and keeps a record of every month.

  • RoLedger does not send Robux. Only you, or someone with the right permission in your group, can send payouts, on Roblox, behind Roblox's own checks. Marking a month as paid records what you tell us; we can't see payouts on Roblox.
  • RoLedger never asks for, stores or uses your Roblox password, login cookie or Robux.
  • RoLedger gives no financial, tax or legal advice.

2. Roblox

RoLedger is independent. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, and Roblox Corporation is not responsible or liable for it. “Roblox” is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. You must follow Roblox's Terms of Use and rules when you use RoLedger, including the rules for group payouts. Roblox can change its fees, exports, payout limits or APIs at any time, which can change what RoLedger can do.

3. Who can use RoLedger

You must be 18, or the age of majority where you live, to subscribe. If you're 13 to 17, you may use RoLedger only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you and is responsible for payment. RoLedger isn't for children under 13.

4. Your account and your groups

  • You sign in with your Roblox account. Keep it secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Connect only groups you own, or in which your role has Roblox's “Manage and spend group revenue” permission (or whatever Roblox calls that permission later). We may ask you to show this and disconnect a group if you can't.
  • Upload only sales files for groups you're allowed to connect.
  • Add only people you pay or intend to pay. You're responsible for having a lawful reason to process their information, as the Privacy Policy explains.

5. Check before you pay

RoLedger calculates from the sales file Roblox gives you and the shares you set. Review each month before you close it and before you send any Robux. You're responsible for the payouts you send, for the shares you agree with your team, and for any taxes on them. We're not responsible for errors in Roblox's files, changes to Roblox's fees or rules, uploads Roblox rejects, or disputes between you and the people you pay.

6. Your data

You own the information you put into RoLedger. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide RoLedger to you, as the Privacy Policy describes. You can download your ledger as Excel or CSV, and each month's report as a PDF, at any time while your account is open.

7. The demo

The demo at roledger.app/demo shows a made-up studio. Nothing you do in it is saved, and its numbers don't describe any real group.

8. Subscription and payment

  • RoLedger costs the price shown at checkout, currently US$29 a month per account, covering every group you connect. Taxes are added where the law requires.
  • Dodo Payments sells and bills the subscription as our merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo's buyer terms, which are shown at checkout.
  • The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in your account menu, which opens Dodo's customer portal; you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. The portal is also where you change your card and download invoices.
  • Payments aren't refunded for part of a month, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If you think you've been charged in error, email us.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change. It applies from your next renewal after the notice period, and you can cancel before then.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it's paid. Your data stays as it is while paused.

9. Fair use

Don't use RoLedger to:

  • break the law or Roblox's rules, or help anyone else do so;
  • connect, view or manage a group you're not allowed to;
  • upload anything harmful, or try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren't yours;
  • overload, scrape or disrupt RoLedger, or copy or resell it;
  • reverse engineer it, except where the law allows that despite this term.

10. Changes to RoLedger

We improve RoLedger over time and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something significant you pay for, we'll tell you in advance. We aim to keep RoLedger available, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using RoLedger and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk; where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close your account without a breach on your part, we'll refund the unused part of the month you paid for. After an account closes, we delete its data as the Privacy Policy describes, so download what you want to keep first.

12. Our property

RoLedger, its software, design and name belong to us. These terms give you the right to use RoLedger, not to own it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

13. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, RoLedger is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it is fit for a particular purpose or that its calculations will match what Roblox pays or reports.

14. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost Robux, or loss of data or goodwill, and our total liability for all claims about RoLedger is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud or gross negligence, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

15. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of the data you uploaded, the payouts you sent, or your breach of these terms or Roblox's rules, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.

16. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, email us first; we'll try to resolve it within 30 days. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and its courts can hear disputes about them. If you're a consumer, you also keep any right the law where you live gives you to bring a claim in your local courts and any protections that law gives you.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using RoLedger after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

18. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about RoLedger. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement; we may transfer ours to whoever takes over RoLedger, and these terms continue to protect you. We aren't responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. We'll send notices to the email address on your account or show them in the app.
